After serving five years in prison, Sara Jane is determined to start a new life, and, armed with a cosmetology license and a new identity, takes a job as a shampoo girl in a ritzy Dallas salon where her dreams begin to come true, but her brutal past catches up to her, threatening to shatter her new existence.
