When Lupe, who loves to ride her father's horse El Diablo, falls while climbing a tree, she is paralyzed from the waist down and becomes immersed in anger and self-pity, but when she is taken to a center run by and for disabled people, she eventually learns that she can still be happy and live life to the fullest even though she is disabled.
