After the death of George Washington, a fledgling America is thrown into turmoil by the growth of a two-party political system, the machinations of an ambitious Aaron Burr, and a growing French presence to the West as Napoleon Bonaparte forces the Spanish to turn over New Orleans to him, allowing him to potentially seize control of the Mississippi Valley.
