湯姆．羅伯．史密斯Tom Rob Smith

　　1979年出生於英國倫敦，父親是英國人，母親是瑞典人，2001年於劍橋大學畢業後，獲獎學金赴義大利深造，主修創意寫作。返英後從 事劇本創作長達五年。

　　2008年首部小說作品《第44個孩子》出版後迅速造成轟動，成為史上氣勢最驚人的新人首作，震撼全球。「異形」「神鬼戰士」傳奇導演 雷利．史考特在書尚未出版之前即搶先奪下電影版權，美國影壇預期該片將成為2012的年度鉅片。
