作者簡介

史帝芬妮．梅爾(Stephenin Meyer)

　　1973年出生於美國康乃迪克州，畢業於楊百翰大學（Brigham Young University），主修英國文學。她於1994年結婚走入家庭，但並沒有因此放棄寫作的興趣，2003年她開始構思吸血鬼浪漫愛情故事，並於2005年完成《暮光之城》（TWILIGHT）。目前她與丈夫以及三個年幼的兒子住在亞歷桑納州鳳凰城。

　　史蒂芬妮的文筆渾然天成，首部長篇小說《暮光之城》（TWILIGHT），可說是青少年校園喜劇類型的YA小說經典作品，甫出版便立刻讓她躋身家喻戶曉的暢銷作家，「紐約時報評主編精選」評選該作為年度最佳小說之一，同時也入選了美國圖書館協會「十大青少年優良讀物」，她更被譽為「2005年最佳作家新秀」。
