作者介紹

E.H.貢布里希（E.H. Gombrich，1909—2001）

英國著名藝術史家，1909年出生於奧地利維也納的一個猶太家庭，後遷居英國。他在維也納大學獲得藝術史博士學位，1936年入職倫敦的瓦爾堡研究院，從1959年起擔任院長，並擔任倫敦大學古典傳統歷史教授，直至1976年退休。他曾獲得多種榮譽，主要有：1966年獲英帝國勳位，1972年受封爵士，1994年獲歌德獎和維也納金質獎章，等等。他的主要著作有《藝術的故事》《藝術與錯覺》《木馬沉思錄》等。
